Spring Flower Cake

This is one of my first fondant cakes. I got some supplies and directions from a baker friend of my mom. And when it was finished they also came and taste it. This was quite exiting but at the same time so much fun!

I made the big flowers and butterflies out of fondant and let them dry out, the flowers in folded aluminium foil and the yellow flower in a flower cup. So they kept there shape while on the cake. The tiny flowers I made by making royal icing, colouring them nice pastel spring colours and piping them on baking paper, and also let them dry out. When they were hard I could pick them from the baking paper and glued them with some more icing on the cake.

The baker actually quite liked my cake jeeejj 😀
